As trade rebounds, frequent freight rate adjustments by carriers are causing quote-to-booking mismatches and rising disputes.Since mid-March, top carriers like MSC and Maersk (MSK) have sustained rate hikes to stabilize markets. Forwarders on affected routes must:

  • Monitor real-time rates pre-shipment
  • Clarify cargo release/payment terms upfront
  • Confirm dead freight (DFC) policies on surging routes

Proactive compliance minimizes quotation gaps, DFC claims, and operational risks.
